SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A GREAT START! ON YOUR RESUME YOU CAN INCLUDE ALL YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED AS WELL AS YOUR SKILLS. DON'T FORGET TO INCLUDE VOLUNTEERING ACTIVITIES WHICH CAN OFTEN DEMONSTRATE TEAM SKILLS, FLEXIBILITY AND PERHAPS EVEN LEARNING ABOUT A NEW CULTURE.

WITH EVERY GOOD WISH AND MANY BLESSINGS,

Hi Paula! I love that you are thinking ahead at such a young age, it's always great to see students wanting to pursue entrepreneurship! What I would recommend is starting your own small business while you are in high school. It sounds like you have a knack for doing nails so maybe you could start a business that involves painting nails or selling press on nails. Through this process, you will face challenges and learn a lot about how to run a business but overcoming these challenges is what leads to your growth and understanding for future endeavors. Then on your resume you can list out the small business you created, what you learned, and the various accomplishments you achieved while doing so. From the perspective of a resume reviewer, your small business experience demonstrates your ability to try new things and your strong ambition. Also, it shows that you have strong soft skills such as time management skills, organization skills, problem solving skills, and the strength to persevere through difficult challenges. At the end of day, whatever you choose to create a small business for, the ultimate goal is to gain experience and learn about what it takes to run a business. If you end up growing the business into something bigger, then even better! If the business doesn't work out, that's not a bad thing either as you would have learned a lot throughout the process for which you can now leverage in your next opportunity. Businesses come and go, but the fire in your heart that drives what you do should never go out. Continue to be ambitious, curious, and be on the look out for opportunities!
