Hello. Generally, the college you want to attend should have a website with a link to common scholarships their students apply for. In the state I attended college, we had a "scholarship website" I think it was called common scholarship application. It would list all of the scholarships available and what their criteria is. I think sallie.com may be something similar. However, I will say finding scholarships is a full time job. The best one I found was while I was in community college. I got grants from the government using the FAFSA which helped me pay for community college and joined a club for honors. The leaders of this club introduce us to scholarships and help us understand the process of applying. I think it would help if you find a resource of the college you plan to attend and they will help steer you in the right direction.
If you continue to apply on your own, just try to write essays that tell a good story of what you have experienced and what you plan to accomplish with your education. Each scholarship has different things they are looking for in a recipient, so it is difficult to give more accurate advice on this.
