How do I find entry-level remote opportunities that align with my certifications as a Business Administration student?
Hi everyone, I'm currently in my first term of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the University of the People (an online US university), and I've just started my academic journey (week 2). Alongside my studies, I've been building practical skills through professional certificates on Coursera, including Google Project Management and Meta Social Media Marketing Associate. I'm also currently working on Google Digital Marketing & E-Commerce, Google Data Analytics, and Meta Marketing Analytics. In addition, I have some hands-on experience managing a small home-based business for handmade sweets. I handled the financial side by tracking costs and profits, organizing data using Google Sheets, and helping plan operations. I would describe myself as detail-oriented and precise in my work. I enjoy organizing information, creating schedules, and planning projects efficiently. I'm also creative and comfortable using tools like Canva for various design tasks, as well as PowerPoint for presentations, and I have basic video editing skills using CapCut or other editing apps. I'm very motivated to gain real-world experience early, especially through a remote job or internship that I can manage alongside my studies. Given my beginner status but growing skill set, I would really appreciate any advice on: - Entry-level remote job opportunities or internships
-Roles that align with my certifications (project management, marketing, analytics)
-Platforms or strategies to find legitimate remote work
-Skills I should prioritize to increase my chances of getting hired Thank you in advance for your guidance!

Some entry-level remote roles that could fit your background are:
Marketing Assistant
Social Media Coordinator
Project Coordinator
Virtual Assistant
Data Entry or Reporting Assistant
Customer Success Representative
Junior Data/Marketing Analyst Intern
E-commerce Assistant
To find legitimate remote opportunities, platforms like LinkedIn
, Indeed
, Handshake
, Wellfound
, and FlexJobs
can be very helpful. Make sure your LinkedIn profile clearly highlights your certifications, tools, and business experience.
I’d also recommend prioritizing:
Excel/Google Sheets advanced skills
Communication and presentation skills
Basic data visualization
Time management and organization
Building a small portfolio of projects (marketing campaigns, dashboards, presentations, etc.)
Since you’re still early in your studies, focus on gaining experience step by step instead of trying to land the “perfect” role immediately. Your consistency, initiative, and willingness to learn will matter a lot to employers.

Your inquiry has gone through my weekly mail. Connections matter as much as skills. Reach out to teachers, alumni, or professionals in fields you’re curious about. A short message asking for advice can open doors. Remember, most people enjoy sharing their journey—it’s how they give back.
From my international perspective, because I live in Southeastern Europe (Western Balkans), the digital nomads are growing due to government initiatives to help our country enter the European Union as soon as possible. Technology is becoming our strength points, even though in my personal opinion, it will be that the youth need to focus more on other fields of study apart from technology. We lack some other professions in Albania.
-On choosing a career path
“It’s completely normal to feel uncertain about your future—most professionals didn’t have it all figured out at your age. Every small step you take—like researching a role, shadowing someone, or trying a project—builds clarity over time. I would suggest coming to visit my country and explore through the internet some other opportunities that we offer for Gen Z. For example, here is a representative office of 42 Albania same in France. Please Google for more information. You may want to become a coach. Rejections, mistakes, or changes in direction aren’t failures—they’re feedback. Each challenge teaches you something about yourself and the world of work. Digital nomads are welcome in our country, even though for a female, the profession related to computer science is more difficult.

More Interpersonal skills. (Communication, Empathy, Conflict Resolution, Teamwork, Emotional Intelligence)
Hope it helps. May the blessing follow you always.
