Hi Serban,

Have you tried volunteering with local blood drives? Or volunteer for HIV/STD free testing events. Eventhough these might not be your interest area, this will at least put you in a medical mindset. The medical field is a lot about helping people and wanting to make a difference.

Good luck!

Volunteer at your local hospital or low-income clinic. Ask physicians, PAs or other clinical providers if you can shadow them.

Look at job board or online research list of local universities. My son is premed and he applied to over 20 research positions before he found one that worked out.

Hey Serban! Have you looked into applying to summer research programs hosted by institutions? For instance, the National Institutes of Health has a very large research program for undergraduate students each summer! Feel free to message me if you need any guidance!
