What kind of transportation jobs involve psychology?
I am currently pursuing my bachelors in psychology and am interested in research. However, I also am really interested in transportation (Amtrak, light rail networks, public transportation companies, etc.).
What kinds of jobs in transportation might relate to these type of transportation companies? Is there something interesting I would be qualified for with a bachelors in psychology only?

Designing the vehicles themselves, the entry points, the management of the entry points ---- all of those things. For example, from the location of an airport, the roadways to gain access to it, the entry points, the location of doors, gates, food courts, waiting areas, scheduling, ticket attendants procedures, access to the plane, the seating, and on and on and on. Remember that, especially in a capitalist economy, the customer experience is critical. Some things that a customer is influenced by in patronizing a business can be so subtle that you'll scarcely be aware of them. But planning these things is a high stakes and high cost and high value effort. And psychology is at the root of most of it.
