Is this field growing enough so that there’s room for someone like me ?

Dermatology is competitive and you will need to do well in medical school to be accepted into this residency. However, upon completion of the residency, you should have no problem whatsoever finding an excellent job. Many patients wait 3-6 months prior to being able to get an appointment with their dermatologist.
