What are the best schools for fashion and designing?

I'm a Sophomore in high school and I want to be an entrepreneur in the fashion industry. I know that I want to go to a 4-year university to get my degree in business, but I want to know if I have to go to another school for fashion and design. If so, what schools would you recommend?

If you are able to go to New York City for college, Fashion Institute of Technology is the university that you should consider. www.fitnyc.edu

Hey! Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) is a great school for fashion design in Rhode Island, as is Pratt Institute in NY, Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, and Parsons School of Design in NY.

LIM College and Parsons are other options in NYC, in addition to FIT. I have hired plenty of interns from all three schools - that is the beauty of attending college in NYC - you can intern throughout your college experience.

Ross’s Answer

Both of these answers are great. FIT in NYC and Parsons are amazing because of teachers, alumni and the city you are in. New York City allows you to work in stuff you enjoy from day 1 of stepping foot in the city. Always prioritize where you can pursue your passion while in school AND how much opportunity is available.

Sierra’s Answer

I know that Parsons offered a 5 year program with a dual degree in business and fashion. FIT, and Pratt are also great schools.
