Astha’s Answer

You can start with trying to build robot kits online, but don't get frustrated if you don't understand all of it, because it uses lots of concepts you will learn in engineering later. Stream wise, you can search for colleges in India that offer Mechatronics engineering, ( I am a mechatronics engineer myself). Career and job wise, I can assure you that you have plenty of options to work on robots in India.

Hi Sameer

Good to know that you are interested in Robots.
Let me tell there is a Bright Future for robot in coming generations.Man and Robot will be best friends in the coming generations
and there are robots in " Japan " which looks exactly like human, sometime you cannot even realize that it is a Robot.
So If you ask there is Bright Future but in India it will at least take 2 generations and if you wants to know which country is best place to learn about robots , it is " JAPAN ".

You don't need to travel half way across the world to learn robotics!!!

Have you considered getting a robotic kit for yourself from Amazon and playing around with it(https://www.amazon.in/s?k=arduiono+kit&ref=nb_sb_noss_2) ?

Yes they cost a bit but not as much as going over to Japan for higher studies :'D Try some cool projects at home. This will be a great addition to your resume should you ever want to pursue robotics full-time.

Soumya’s Answer

For an 11th standard student, I would start with DIY Kits for robots available online. Following videos in youtube to build techs. like robotic cars would be my first step. Once that is accomplished, it would be beneficial to identify building blocks for the robotic cars: like the individual components and the software micro-controllers and the interfaces. I would connect back to the basics (Physics/Maths/Software) and as time comes build expertise on that.
