The high school I go to has a health sciences program that lets students take their CNA but after high school I would like to immediately find a job in the medical field while taking my pre-requisites for nursing college. What would be the best job option

I am asking this question because I would love to immediately start putting what I learn to good use in my selected career path. However, the catch is that I would still have to be able to go to college at the same time. #nursing #nurse #health #registered-nurses

Usually CNA jobs are great started jobs with some flexibility in schedule. If you can get a CNA job at a hospital, then you can possible be promoted to a Medical Assistant or phlebotomist as you learn more during your education. If you can’t get into a hospital, try to get into a bigger nursing home. Depending on the state you live in, you also might want to look at getting your EMT licenses. All great options with flexible schedules.

If you have the option to complete your nursing assistant certification in high school then I would say go for it. Once you graduate high school you can secure a position as a CNA in a long-term care facility, or maybe even as a Patient Care Tech at one of the local hospitals. Either way you will be able to get first hand experience in the field and know for certain if this is the direction you want your career to go. Good luck

Hi Josephine ! If I understand your question - You are in high school taking a CNA course and want to know your options?? Hospitals - Long term care facilities - Home Health . You can attend school and work because these facilities want you to continue employment with them after graduating and getting licensed. I started off as an LVN and worked my way through. I am now a FNP and wouldn't trade anything for the experience that received. On the job experience is the best.
