If I want to medically assist exotic animals in the future, where is the best place to go to learn how to do so?

This is what I want to do when I am older, so I need to know where I can get the best education so I can do the best job possible. #veterinarian #veterinary #veterinary-medicine #marine-biology #animal-health #animal-rescue #animal-conservation #animal-welfare

There are veterinary programs that offer training in exotics. Please check out this web site:

Right now if you wanted to begin learning about care of animals, there is usually many animals shelters that can always use volunteers. This is one way to begin exploring how you actually feel about caring for animals. If you determine that you like caring for animals, you could begin working when possible with a company that takes care of other peoples animals in their home. This would give you some of the practical experience that you need before you determine if this is the path that you are going to choose.
Good luck!

There are many way you can get training in exotics. You can volunteer at a wildlife rehab center, an avian/exotic veterinary practice, or even at the zoo/aquarium. If you want to go into the veterinary field whether to be a vet tech or a DVM, aim for a program that also has opportunities in exotic animal medicine (not all offer this).
