Try it yourself! If you have a PC, the roblox developer kit is free to download from their website. I've tried it, and it's not so easy, but at least you can see what it's like. And search for YouTube videos of kids who know what they're doing.
If you want to start a little more simple, try scratch.mit.edu--it's free and browser based. The programming pieces are little blocks you put together graphically in drag-and-drop style. You can see other kids' (and grownups) games they've made, and can make your own copy to modify. Or start from "scratch"!

Thank you for the question. Roblox is one of the most popular gaming platform nowadays, a lot of yoursters are playing games on this platform.
Roblox uses a programming languages called 'Lua'. It is support by Visual Studio. You can download the Visual Studio Community version which is free to start with.
There are plenty of resources on Visual Studio and Lua online. You can reading the material Lua and how to use Visual Studio. Then, you can start programming on some simple games first.
Other than Roblox, if you are interested in programming, you can also learn some other programming language like Scratch (like David has mentioned), Python, etc. You can try to use it to control robots, robotic car, etc. It is also interested as well.
In the future, if you are interested to develop your career in coding, you can consider to take Computer Science as your major in the college. You will have more opportunities to learn more computer theory and explore to more programming languages and platforms.
