Hello, Efrain. You ask about getting an engineering degree. I pursued a somewhat unusual path.
My undergraduate degree was in a completely different Field: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. After working in a research lab for more than a year, I decided to move to the Field of Water Resources. I went to graduate school at the University of Washington and got a Masters Degree in Engineering. I took the EIT Exam rather late, when I was in my 30s, and then obtained my PE license. I enjoyed a very rewarding career in Civil Engineering. The Point is: pursue your Goals with enthusiasm and intent and you can achieve great things. Good Luck
