Jasmine’s Answer

My favorite part was getting to meet people from numerous backgrounds who shared similar interests to me when it can to art and hobby crafting. Having a space to feel like my ambitions were valued was a breath of fresh air for me. My least favorite thing was how it was mandatory to take art classes that were outside my medium along side people who did work in it. It created a sense of insecurity but it was easy to shake after first semester for me.

I hope this helps

Kelsey’s Answer

My favorite thing about being an art major is I get to do something that I'm passionate about and know that I'm good at it. Schools will convince you to try things outside of your comfort zone and sometimes you're suprised with the result. What no one tells you about art school is that you're not going to enjoy every project and that you have to leave room for time outside of class to finish projects. You can't wait at the least minute to do a painting. Art takes work, commitment, and time.

Catalyna’s Answer

My favorite thing was exploring and learning about art forms I didn’t have much experience yet in. Some it turned out I loved, others not so much. Getting to be around others and see their techniques and art styles. The thing I hated then but value now as an adult, especially as an Art teacher, was the criticism of the professors. It seemed harsh at times, but they can see your potential and just want you to bring it out. I try to do that with my students now.
