Keyana’s Answer

Hi Kimberly! I personally have definitely gotten stressed out working in this field. Bad stress due to understaffed or lacking resources, which can happen in any work environment. Good stress from knowing that my team and I did an amazing job during a busy day! I can't say I have gotten bored although passion fatigue is real. The passion fatigue was from being in a "boring" or slower paced work environment, but I never get bored working with animals. I like to be in a fast paced environment, but everyone is different which is not a bad thing. You will eventually figure out while working in this field what sparks your passion! There are so many things and opportunities in this field, you will never be bored!

Julie’s Answer

I work in a service-related type job. The position can be very stressful, depending on the volume and the type of clients one is working with that particular day. As with any customer-facing field, the attitudes of the people that you deal with on a daily basis can directly impact the stress of one's job. There are times when it is boring; and honestly, the quiet/calm is nice - but being busy makes time go by that much faster; especially if you love what you do. Finding opportunities on your own for growth or things you can accomplish for the betterment of the team and organization fills some of those down times in a very engaging way as well.
