I'm a student at job corps and we are researching trades we are interested in. The trade I'm interested in is working on the fuel car and the funny car so my question is where do I start and if possible, maybe race the cars in the future?

i have always been interested in the drag racing seen sens I was little so the main question is who do I contact to try and get into the nhra world

Having been active in my youth, drag racing is a local sport. Your best bet is to have a car, any car, and enter it in local drag racing. You don't need to have a competitive car, but it will let you start meeting the people involved at your local drag strip. As you meet them, you can work to help in their pit crews and to see if you can get a chance to drive. The guaranteed way is to buy/build your own race car that puts you into a competitive category, one where others can see your driving skills. That takes several years, as you need time to develop a really competitive car or grow in another racing organization. Developing a skill in tuning engines or chassis can be a big plus.
