Hello there! If you're still keen on pursuing higher education, consider enrolling in a community college or trade school. Simultaneously, you could kick-start your own small business or side hustle. This venture could not only finance your educational needs but also give you a real-world platform to sharpen your entrepreneurial skills.

Plus, you could obtain business-related certificates that can turbocharge your career progression. After graduation, with a degree or trade in hand, you can fully concentrate on expanding your business, without the need to return to college for further accreditation. Remember, higher education is a stepping stone to your dreams, so don't give up on it. Wishing you all the best on your journey!

I don't know what kind of entrepreneurship you have in mind and whether you already have some inroads, resources and practical ideas for it. Otherwise, it wouldn't seem a reliable single path to follow. The advantage of college is that it would give you option: skills you could apply to many things, interests you might not have considered for professional or personal pursuits, experiences that could provide more of a foundation for life, etc. Our society is not one that necessarily rewards innovation or dreams, not without money and connections, and student debt is a huge problem. So if you do already have a niche that makes success likely, go for it. If not, give yourself the widest options and experiences possible. You never know what you might discover and whom you might meet.

Kayla,
I respect the fear of high debt, but you can control that by attending a community college and using state-funded colleges for remaining years. And if you work part-time, such as in the summer, you can keep the debt much lower. Another option is to consider the military, as there are many professions that do not carry guns, and that might get you a commission as an officer, which is a good career option. All the best to you.
