How do I find a career that I will enjoy and will provide a steady income?I am struggling to find something I like and want to do for the rest of my life.

You are going to need to do some self reflection and determine what you really love in life, as far as interests, goals, and future achievements.

I use the following question:

What do you love to do, so much, in your life, that even if they did not pay you to do it, you would do it any?

Once you are able to answer this question, then you will be on the correct career path.

I know people will say that initially the compensation is not high enough, but if find something that you love to do, then you will most likely be very good at it, and the higher compensation will eventually follow.

A career where you will be the first in the office, each morning, and the last to leave in the evening. That is the perfect job. One you will love to do, and can't wait to get to each day.

To earn a good income, many jobs require at least a bachelor's degree, but it doesn't always have to be in a specific field. You just need to have a bachelor's degree or the equivalent years of experience. However, if you're interested in a specialized field like nursing, you'll need a degree in that field. Don't worry if you change your mind about your career after getting your bachelor's degree. You can still pursue a master's degree in a different field. I didn't know this until later in life, and I wish someone had told me sooner. So, don't stress! You've got this! A bachelor's degree will give you the chance to explore many different fields with a good salary, helping you find your passion. :)

Thank you for your question. Many students have similar question. I think the most important is to find a job you have interest.
Below are my suggestions:
1. Think about what you have interest, eg your hobbies, favourite subjects, etc and identify the related careers
Eg if you like music, would you like to be musician, singer, singer, music composer, music producer, etc
If you have interest in maths, would you like to be an accountant, engineer, banker, financial analyst, maths teacher, etc
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in the college
