What skills are necessary for your job?
I am a sophmore in high school and looking at going into zoology or being in some type of therapy. I want to try to and figure out my major before making applications next year and curious what skills I would need for either of those jobs.

For a career in zoology, important skills include scientific knowledge, research abilities, keen observation, critical thinking, and effective communication. These skills will help you study and understand animals, conduct research, analyze data, and communicate your findings. For a career in therapy, skills such as empathy, active listening, strong communication, problem-solving, and resilience are crucial. These skills will enable you to connect with clients, understand their needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide support throughout the therapeutic process. Whether you choose to pursue a career in zoology or therapy, both fields are great choices!

I think you really must have a mindset of continues learning. When you will be in your professional era , you have to do seriously your job in order for it to grow. So reading, listening (to a good mentor), building connections and of course experting the skills related to your job / career chosen by practicing it while you are still at school are good points for preparing your future profession.
