Logesh’s Answer

Hello Victor,

Great Question and good that you are curious to know about how the world of programming and development looks like.
The visualization helps you prepare, anticipate and in a way be mentally ready.

When you start, typically you will be on a learning path. (Yes!! learning is a continuous activity throughout your career).
You will be exposed to a new world, where you will understand what it takes to get a software product built and released.

To simplify,
You will need to know the processes and stages involved in software development.
You will need to understand the various roles and responsibilities involved. How teams works together?
Communication is a big deal and lot of inter personal and soft skills are crucial even though you may think i am interacting with a computer mostly.
But reality is there is a lot of people communication that is more important here.

You want to make sure you are building the product right but also building the RIGHT product. To entirely different things.
Whatever you are building is it solving a purpose.. Solving a user problem.. Keep asking that question forever . it will lead you down the right path.

Macy’s Answer

Set some key targets or objectives that you aspire to reach during your journey as a Software Engineer or in any other chosen career path. Often, your role may not always involve creating new codes or products. Instead, you might find yourself delving into the existing code base, enhancing its efficiency, or dedicating substantial time to debugging. Remember, every step you take, every code you improve, and every bug you fix brings you closer to your goals. Keep going, your efforts are building a stronger foundation for your future.

João’s Answer

You will have goals and software that you will need to deliver related to those goals.
Make sure that what you deliver is of high quality.
Besides the actual coding, you will also spend time planning, designing the solutions, testing it, and making sure stakeholders are happy with it.
You will need to collaborate with your team / peers during your job.
Be disciplined, respect deadlines, and everything will go well!
