Thank you for your question. Time management is to help you use your time efficiently. Firstly, you need to find a time management tool that suits you, eg Google Calendar, ms outlook, phone calendar, etc
Below are my suggestions:
1. Put down the time you need to attend classes
2. Assign some time every day on your assignment, projects, etc and do revision on the material covered in the class of the day
3. Make sure you have enough time to sleep and do some exercise
4. You can allocate some time for your leisure and family & friends gathering
5. You may need to assign more time to do revision before assessment/ exam
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

Patrick’s Answer

Time management is all about smartly arranging, prioritizing, and planning tasks to make the best use of our time and resources. It's about setting targets, carving out time for various activities, and adopting methods to boost productivity while reducing time wastage. When we manage our time effectively, we're more likely to meet our goals, feel less stressed, and strike a better balance between work and life.

To save more time, we can use a variety of strategies. These include making to-do lists, breaking down tasks into smaller, more manageable pieces, setting deadlines, and using productivity-enhancing tools and techniques like the Pomodoro Technique. It's also helpful to delegate tasks when we can, avoid multitasking, minimize distractions, and learn to say no to things that aren't absolutely necessary.

On top of that, adopting healthy habits like getting enough sleep, exercising regularly, and eating a balanced diet can boost our productivity and time management skills. It's also important to regularly check and tweak our time management strategies to make sure they're still working for us and can adapt to any changes in our priorities or circumstances.

Rachael’s Answer

Mastering time management essentially means effectively organizing your daily activities. Sometimes, it feels like the day doesn't have enough hours to accomplish everything. This could be in your personal life, academic pursuits, or professional responsibilities. Here are some strategies to improve your time management skills:

1. Organize your agenda for the next day in advance.
2. Use a checklist - Leverage your phone's calendar, reminders, or to-do lists for everyday tasks.
3. Set attainable goals for yourself.
4. When unexpected events occur, adapt your schedule accordingly.
5. If you start feeling overwhelmed, take a short break, then return to your task. Alternatively, set a reminder to revisit the task at a specific time.

Aboubaker’s Answer

Hi Anam,
Time management is the act of optimizing time in a project to achieve the goal requested by a client.
You can think of it as a surprise birthday for a friend. So you need to prepare the party before your friend is at home, this includes buying the cake, balloons, sending the invitations etc.
To optimize time management, you can prioritize tasks to do by using a list is preferable and also use the help of your friends by delegating tasks to do.

David’s Answer

Hi Anam,

Mastering time management is all about examining your daily tasks and determining which ones need to be tackled first. I suggest setting aside some time to map out your tasks on a calendar, dedicating specific time slots for each activity throughout the day. Remember to anticipate the unexpected and factor in some extra time for unforeseen circumstances. For instance, if you're preparing for a meeting or presentation, make sure to allocate time for questions and open discussions. If travel is on your agenda, plan to leave early and account for the time you'll need during your journey to accomplish other tasks. To aid in this, tools like Google Calendar and timers can be incredibly helpful for keeping track of specific tasks.

I also encourage you to delve deeper into the topic of time management. There's a wealth of knowledge in numerous books dedicated to the subject, and you can also find inspiring videos on platforms like Ted Talks. I've personally found Ted Talks to be an invaluable resource for a variety of topics.

Another strategy that has significantly improved my time management skills is the 4 Quadrants of Prioritizing. This method was my go-to when I was a retail manager in a high-pressure setting. Tasks falling into Quadrant 1 are both urgent and important and should be tackled first. Tasks in Quadrant 2, while important, are not urgent and should be scheduled for later. Quadrant 3 tasks are urgent but not important and could potentially be delegated to others. Lastly, Quadrant 4 tasks are neither urgent nor important and are likely distractions. These tasks should be tackled last or during downtime. You can easily find more resources and information on priority quadrants online.

I hope you find these suggestions useful. Here's to mastering time management. Good luck!

Vanessa E.’s Answer

Hi Anam!

Time management is essentially organizing your day so you can balance school, hobbies, and relaxation without feeling overwhelmed. It's about figuring out what needs to be done first and setting aside the right amount of time for each activity. This way, you can avoid last-minute stress and enjoy your free time more. Think of it as creating a playlist for your day, where every task has its track, ensuring you hit all the right notes without missing a beat.

I hope this helps!

Andrew’s Answer

Hello Anam,

The simple way to describe this is to find better ways to do the same tasks.

- Find shortcuts or efficiencies on a task. If you are still learning a new idea, you want to understand the basics of how it works. After understanding the idea/technology, look for guides or shortcuts that will save you time. For example, Microsoft programs have many shortcuts to do repetitive tasks Like Ctrl +C for Copy.

- Break down the task or goal into smaller, manageble tasks. If your goal is to get A's that year, think about what you need to reach it.
Study lessons/material, take good notes, make a study group with other students, work with a tutor, and ask questions to teacher, etc

- Seek Expert opinion- Read books, watch videos, and seek other material to get a better understanding of what the main ideas.

- Reflect on how you spend time. If you want to get better at time management, think about what takes too much time or how you can better spend that time. Maybe you want to be more efficient on doing homework, you can get a study buddy, find a place where you have less distrctions, and think about what time you study/learn better such as afternoons or night.

- Use checklists or To do lists. This helps you track progress on completing a task and you can add notes if you are stuck on a certain task. Also, you can show the list to someone else and they can provide you suggestions on how to find ways to save time.

- In your free time, choose hobbies you enjoy rather than do something that pleases your parent or family. There are cases where your parent may insist that you should learn piano or play sports, but if that activity is not something you have interest in, you may want to spend time on another hobby.

Good luck.
