Steph Stone

Hi! I'm Steph (she/her). I'm a musicologist at Boston University.

Previously, I have completed a two-semester research job in which I conducted research for an autobiographical book on The Grateful Dead, translated French short stories into English (translations confirmed for publication by The Opera Journal), and I spoke at the Boston University undergraduate research symposium on the connections between music and diet. I've also completed extra research credits on the evolution of the term 'groupie' in rock music culture.

Currently, I am a rising senior at BU, and I'm spending a lot of my time focusing on my upcoming publications. I have a poem which I am currently in the process of submitting to journals, as well as two articles which are awaiting edits to then be submitted, and two articles which are still in the writing stage but will be submitted upon their completion in the coming months.

I am also preparing for my future after graduation by applying for PhD programs in historical musicology. I'm so excited to keep dedicating myself to my research and writing. It really is my favorite thing in the world, and I can't wait to see where it takes me.
