Malexy Moreno

Hi! I’m a passionate and driven individual currently pursuing my dream of becoming a veterinarian. As a first-generation college graduate from a Hispanic immigrant family, I’m deeply committed to increasing diversity in veterinary medicine and serving underrepresented communities.

I’ve gained valuable experience working as a Senior Veterinary Assistant at an urgent care facility, where I practice Fear Free techniques and assist with various emergency cases. My professional journey has also given me the opportunity to mentor new employees and contribute to administrative tasks like inventory management and training.

Outside of work, I volunteer at organizations like The Stewpot, where I help serve meals to individuals experiencing homelessness. I’m also passionate about educating young students from underrepresented backgrounds and inspiring them to pursue careers in veterinary medicine.

In my free time, I enjoy staying active with Pilates, yoga, and spending time with animals of all kinds. I’m excited to connect, share my experiences, and help others navigate their career paths!
