How did you pick your career? Did you know all along?

I never sought out a career in mortgage lending, however 30 years later, my professional life has been very fulfilling. My career begin with an short-term assignment as a receptionist for GE Capital Credit. After a few months, they liked me and I them, and this was my introduction into the world of finance. The first two years I was fortunate to be exposed to professionals within the industry, that gave me incredible advice and direction. I have had many mentors, some formal and many informal. My advice to anyone is to ask question, be willing to listen with both ears, and never assume anything. Lastly, have fun and take pride in whatever you do...it will serve you well.
