I am not a nurse but I have done some research and hopefully it is helpful to you! I think it really depends on what balance looks like for you. Most bedside nurses tend to work 12 hour shifts three days a week which gives them four off days. In comparison, aesthetic nurses work 8 hour shifts for four or five days of the week. These hours tend to be during traditional business hours so depending on the facility you work at, you can have evenings and weekends off. Those are never guaranteed for bedsides nurses or many other specialities.
While doing the research, I came across Reddit threads of people who worked in aesthetic nursing but did not enjoy it because of the schedule. Some really preferred having a 3 days schedule even though it required longer days.
At the end of the day, it depends on your preference but overall, this career would offer you lots of opportunity for work life balance!
