If I'm interested in a career in an arts/computer career cluster, what types of jobs, experiences, or skills are employers looking for on a resume?
I am a freshman in high school and I am interested in some art/computer based careers.

Hello Shanna, i think the carreer that you are searching for is Graphic design with a specialization in ux/ui design. In that area you can design web pages and their correspond interfaces, so you have to know about code and lenguajes like "html".
You have to be in first place creative, you have to use tools like "figma" too.

If you're aiming for a career in the arts or computer field, focus on building a strong mix of creative and technical skills. Employers love to see:
Projects (from school or personal work)
Creative tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, or coding skills (HTML, JavaScript, etc.)
A portfolio showing your best work
Experience from internships, freelancing, or volunteering
Even small projects count—what matters is showing passion, creativity, and a willingness to learn. Start now, keep creating, and your resume will grow stronger with every step! 💻🎨✨

Shanna,
I might be a bit partial, but I really suggest you check out Graphic Design. It's great because you'll get to work with a computer! Try to learn Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, HTML/JavaScript, and web design. If your school lets you use Adobe apps in art classes, definitely take that chance to practice! If you just want to try out design, Canva and Figma are good free tools to start with.

Hi Shanna,
It sounds like graphic design would be of interest to you! That is a great combination of art and computer skills. You will want to take some classes and learn skills in Adobe, editing, website building, videography, and photography. The more experience you can get, the better! You can start to build your skills and experiences by volunteering somewhere you are passionate about and offering to help with their website, social media, photography, and videography.
I hope this helps!
