Hey Sena,
While I don't have an exact answer for what you should sell, I would recommend a few things:
1. Sell something that excites you! When you sell your product to others, they need to see your passion and belief for the product
2. Think of problems that arise in your life and in other's lives! Find a problem that needs to be solved, or an area that is lacking a prominent product, and start creating
Best,
Ethan

Hi Sena - I cannot tell you what product you should sell, but I can offer a couple of books that can help shape your thinking around building a success business model to support your entrepreneurial spirit. I have read both of these books and find them to be great tools as I am exploring a new business venture, making key decisions or creating a business plan.

Start by exploring your hobbies and interests. Selling something you're passionate about is simpler. Great products often solve problems or make life easier. Look for something that needs fixing or can simplify tasks.

Stephanie’s Answer
I would begin by looking at your community/ society and take note of things that are lacking or could use improvement. I would then think of what you are personally interested in and feel passionate about. You need to think of something you find enjoyable because that is what will keep you motivated and draw others to you and your product. If there is a lot of competition in your area of interest, for example a new shoe brand or gaming system, it is important to have a "why". People will connect personally with your underlying cause and become loyal customers. Having a product you believe in and a good cause to go along with it, will create a contagious attraction to you and your business. I cannot stress enough the importance of having passion in what you do or sell, it will become evident to your customers that you're a genuine believer of your business and make it that much easier for them to buy.

Building on Stephanie's good advice.
Choosing the right product to sell involves a lot of thought, research, decisions, etc. It starts with understanding and defining your business strategy - what needs are you trying to address, who (customers).do you want to serve and what markets. Also consider your expertise and interests as choosing products that are aligned to those will influence business success but also personal satisfaction if you're passionate about your products. Aim high but also be practical by looking at factors (legal stuff, longevity, relevance, etc). Good luck and wish you success!

What interests you the most? If you want to make a business in sales, it should be based on what you are passionate towards. Do you like to paint? You could sell original paintings. Do you enjoy baking? You could sell goodies at farmer's markets. And the list can go on. Your preference should guide what you decide to sell.

Hey there, I'd say start with interests and passions! The best salespeople are people who sell products that they are truly passionate about and believe in! A prospect can feel that energy a mile away so take the time to find out what you really care about and how that product can change the prospects life :)

Start by thinking about something you're really passionate about. This will help you see any gaps that could be filled with a new product.

Matt’s Answer
When you're considering starting a business, look for where your passions and interests meet the needs or opportunities around you. You don't have to invent something new; just find a gap you can fill with your skills and ideas. Let your passion guide you to turn your idea into reality.

I am going to go a different way that the other respondents a bit - I would start by identifying a problem that people or businesses are facing that you are interested in solving. How to find problems businesses or people are facing? By talking to people, online forums, ChatGPT! Then test solutions at a small scale to see if people are interested in your solution! I always start with the problem, that will lead you to the right product.

Emily’s Answer
Hi Sena, I think it's great that you're considering starting a business! In terms of finding the right product, I personally believe the most fulfilling product to sell would be something that you personally find value in. Perhaps it's something that you use often but want to improve. Perhaps it's something that you find yourself telling your friends and family about. Perhaps it's a product that you've been dreaming up after experiencing a problem or gap in the market. I would encourage you to think about products that you personally believe in. If it's an existing product, what can you do to improve it? Are there challenges you see others run into that you have a solution for?
Adding onto this, I'd encourage you to not be afraid to start. I've heard of a lot of people waiting years and years to find the perfect product before they have the courage to start their business. Don't be afraid to launch before you're ready. Make sure you believe in the value of what you choose to sell, but be open to feedback and be ready to adapt!

Try a different approach by first finding a problem that interests you, affecting people or businesses. Discover these problems by chatting with others, visiting online forums, or using tools like ChatGPT. Once you identify a problem, test your solution on a small scale to gauge interest. Starting with the problem will guide you to the right product.
