#Fall25 What are some helpful studying tips you recommend to for someone who gets distracted easily but can get their work done in time?

I am a college student currently studying business administration and management. I am in my second year, and I like make sure I keep up with my grades. I really like the color pink and trying new things.

Thank you comment icon You could definitely set reminders for due dates, and to keep being productive, you could try setting timers for a specific "work period" in order to stay focused. Eliyah

Hi Bhawana, I also get distracted easily. What helps me stay focused is to find or create a space where only studying happens (or work, in my case). Have a room, a corner, some place specific where studying happens can help disengage you from other things and put you in the right state of mind. For me, working from my home office helps. I have conditioned myself to enter "work mode" when I am in there, just like when I used to drive into the office. I setup the space to limit distractions as well - no gadgets or books in my immediate field of view for example - well maybe a fidget toy or two. When I am really not in the mood to work and even being in my office doesn't help, I put on my noise canceling headphones (with or without music) for another layer of isolation - keeping in the zone. I have found that lighting is also important, I have brighter white lights in my office than say the living room since they don't allow me to get to cozy (again similar to working in an office). Hope this helps!

The Best Advice I can give you is get to a space with little or no distractions. I used to go the Library but in the Stacks where I was by myself for hours.
Setting Goals and To Do Lists are great but only as good as you follow up and engage with them.

Suggest you write down your goals and review them regularly. Keep daily to-do lists and check off each thing you get done each day.

When distracted, take a moment to think about what's important and reflect on how you've done at the end of the day.

With every good wish and many blessings!
