Hey Jean-Sébatien,

I saw in your comments with Douglas that you're interested in sports statistics. Fortunately, there is a massive analytics movement in the entire sports industry, so as long as you continue to hone your knowledge of the sports you're interested in as well as the programs/tools you need to analyze those sports, you should be in a good spot.

As for a mentor, I would look up top sports analytics professionals on social media platforms like LinkedIn or Twitter. I'm less familiar with hockey, soccer and tennis, but I know basketball and football teams have some fantastic experts in the field. I would also check out the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference (https://www.sloansportsconference.com) – a lot of the sports industry's top statisticians and analytics gurus attend the conference and there will likely be some great resources there as well.

Jean: what types of sports are you interested in? Would you be willing to do a distance internship?

Well, I was wondering why you are looking for a mentor in the sports industry? Do you want to work in sports management with Business Intelligence later?
Therefore it is difficult to assume and advice.
Alternativley you could seek advice at University related to your question or do some kind of business coaching where you should get help too.
