Are there fields of work where art skills are incorporated, but you are not required to work as a professional artist?

Ever since I was a child I have been passionate about being an artist. I have went to art classes for many years and am have grown very skilled in painting,
and drawing. My works have been displayed in galleries, and have received praises from the general public and professional artists. Moving ahead in life as a high school student, I feel that I do not want to have a career solely as a professional artist, but am curious to know if there are any jobs that would need someone with skills and knowledge in art, and hopefully, pay well. In particular, I wish to know if my skills can be used in the technological, mathematical, or scientific fields. From doing research at home, I have found that architects and civil engineers would need to be knowledgeable in construction and mathematics, but also would need to create designs for various projects. However, I would like to know if there are other jobs where art and STEM (Science,Technology,Engineering, and Math) fields can come together. #engineering #finance #art #mathematics #tech

Charles’s Answer

Sure. Industrial Design work requires foundations in art, but does not require you to be an artist.

Betsy: At least two fields come to mind where art skills are very valuable, but achievement as a professional artist is not required: Drafting and Marketing.
