Great question. Forget about the money for 2 months. Build your active presence on internet.

In visual art & design, I assume you have practically learnt the Adobe Suite. If not, or if in a middle of learning, pursue this:

1- Adobe Suite (photoshop, illustrator, inDesign, after-effects). Master these softwares!

Next, you just need to fully show off your art to the world using social media. Logos, graphics, videography, music.

Never worry about the business or clients. If you art work is so powerful & attention-grabbing, clients will run after you to work with you.

Zobair recommends the following next steps:

Complete learning Adobe Suite. Don't just complete, master it.
Start creating projects. Logos, designs, graphic images, product ads, mockups, videos, whatever you wish.
Make accounts on Instagram, Dribble, and Behance. Upload your media on these platforms regularly, with a schedule. Approach businesses and individuals, work for them. Get as many testimonials as you can.
Start building a portfolio website. Publish your posts and design there.
MOST IMPORTANT: Start building **LinkedIn** profile from today. It takes a month or two to optimize it. This last step will help you connecting with potential clients.

If you want to work from home, a remote job is a great option to consider. You can try creating a LinkedIn account to look for job opportunities and connect with employers in your targeted field. I consider you to start creating your account now, find connections, find internships–lucky you, there are a lot of employers that are looking for graphic designers in social media and business field. This is good not only for your job hunting but also to gain experience and money as you mentioned in your question.

Another great idea is to become a freelancer. Try Upwork or Fiverr, as these platforms allow you to sell services in design, social media, branding, and more. If you want a more specific ones, try Etsy, it is where you can sell your hand-made products like necklaces, dresses, frames, etc. You can also try 99designs if you're willing to be a graphic or logo designer.
