Your options are wide open. You can look for local electrical companies that specialize in solar panels, maintenance, or both. It should be fairly simple to do, just look them up online by area and talk to any companies your interested in. Also if you are just entering the trade, you need to find a company that is looking for new apprentices, as you will need to start as an apprentice and then work and train(required schooling) to become a journeyman. You may know this, but it usually takes 3-4 years as an apprentice, before you can take the state electrical exam to get your electrical journeyman's license. Most states have required schooling and accumulated hours working as an apprentice, before you can qualify to take the licensing exam. Unless you are really only interested in solar or maintenance, I would just find a great electrical company that needs apprentices, get your license and then you can choose where to work and what you would like to do as a journeyman.

The electrical field has so many options, find what you are really good at by working with a company that does a variety of work as a apprentice, and then you will know what you would prefer to do as a journeyman. Great career options, good luck!
