I think the best experience you could ever have is real work. Try to find a local business in your area, that does not have a website, social media presence, Adverising, or any other form of marketing! Learn the skills (so many resources out there - start with long form YT videos that are highly rated) and apply them!

Some companies may laugh in your face, and sometimes you'll need to work for free. But do it! Make them a website, make them flier they can decide to print or not, show them material evidence of foot traffic you've gained for them without them paying you! This will be great experience to continue to pursue a career or build a business! The hardest step will always be the next one.

Business Marketing is abroad area with many elements from packaging and product design to e-commerce and advertising (be it digital or omnichannel which would factor for tactics like terrestrial radio which is still a thing and television). That is to any interested person's advantage.
Begin with what you like: do you like to plan things - there are roles creating the plans for who the product or service is meant for and where/how it will be sold; if you're artistic there are roles making ads or writing social media posts or designing logos amd such; if you're good with numbers or research there are roles gathering amd analyzing data about industries and services or roles creating the financial models that estimate how products should sell.
Business Marketing is an exciting and diverse area but don't be intimidated. Start with what you enjoy and are good at - there's a way to apply that to Business Marketing. And the fundamentals are the same whether you want to work for yourself or a big company. Honestly a book like 'Business Marketing for Dummies' is a fine place to begin getting a handle on all the various roles that fall under Business Marketing. There a many more references and more specific references to specific areas, but begin with seeing the variety of opportunities and what appeals to you. You don't necessarily need to make an MBA (advanced school degree) your goal to be a business marketer. Hope this helps.
