1. Think about what you have interest, eg your hobbies, favourite subjects, etc and identify the related careers
Eg if you like music, would you like to be a musician, singer, musical artist, music composer, music producer, etc
If you have interest in maths, would you like to be an accountant, engineer, banker, financial analyst, maths teacher, etc
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counselor, your parents, etc
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue. The relevant subjects are the major and minor you can focus
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in colleges

The best career is the one you will enjoy doing. There are careers that pay more money than the one I have, but I would be MISERABLE doing them. They would have been terrible choices for ME. Someone else may thrive on them.
By the same token, some people would find what I do very boring, very hard, or hate it for some other reason. I love it, have been doing it for 25 years, and look forward to many more years doing it.
So the best choice FOR YOU is one only YOU can choose.

I feel like the best advice I can give is try to determine what career you will truly enjoy. Throughout college you will likely figure out what you are passionate about and excites you. If you decide there is a professional career related to your passions you should absolutely pursue it! Your ambitions, goals and passions may change so you don't have to decide right away - keep your options open.
When I was in college I had my mind set on a supply chain and operations career. After taking my first accounting class, however, I changed my mind. I really enjoyed the professor, thought the content was captivating and I was good at the technical aspects of the course. So based on that positive experience I decided I would focus on a career in accounting and finance.
I hope my advice and personal experience is helpful!
