Nakesha joined Verizon in June 2019, leading media strategy for Value Props, Gaming, and Hispanic initiatives in the Media and Engagement Marketing organization. Nakesha is also responsible for leading the Twitch partnership and managing VZ's DE&I investment approach against target segments. Nakesha has led media strategy for Mix & Match 2.0 and 3.0, Mix & Match + Entertainment, and The Biggest Upgrade Ever Campaigns. Nakesha leads and manages the Twitch partnership where she was able to demonstrate 5G innovation with the launch of iPhone 12 and the Wild Rift Invitational. The Wild Rift Invitational was the first mobile gaming tournament on 5G. Nakesha was also instrumental in partnering with Twitch and sponsoring the first HBCU esports league.

In terms of value props, Nakesha led media strategy for campaigns debuting Disney+, Disney Bundle, and Discovery+. Most recently, Nakesha led media strategy for Gaming (5G Built for Gaming, Apple arcade, and Google Play Pass).

Prior to joining Verizon, Nakesha spent a number of years leading Media Planning and Buying on the Ad Agency side for multiple clients including McDonald's, Ford Motor Company, The Home Depot, Amtrak, and a host of Pharmaceutical brands. Nakesha has experience working with multiple segments and more than half of her career has been spent in the Multicultural space. Nakesha's multicultural experience includes media strategy and experiential for African American, Hispanic, Asian, and LGBTQ audiences.

Nakesha holds a BS in Advertising from NYIT. She is very passionate about the Arts and has worked with multiple volunteer organizations helping families in low income areas. Nakesha has been invited to speak on panels for her knowledge of Multicultural and Gaming segments. She also was awarded the Black Enterprise Top Women in Advertising & Marketing Award twice.
