<p>As a client services professional at Nielsen, I work with retailers and manufacturers as a consultant, problem solver and trusted adviser. My work helps clients set pricing strategies, launch new products and determines what products you ultimately see on the shelf and online. </p>

In layperson terms, what do you actually do at work?

I look at market data to help my client, Whole Foods Market, answer important questions like: Why are my banana sales weak? What kind of promotion would be the most effective during back to school season? What flavor of ice cream is the next trend?

How did you pick your career? Did you know all along?

Absolutely not! A career in data and analytics was the furthest thing from my mind in college. I found my way to this industry because of a great internship with Ross Stores' Buying and Planning office.
