My class is exploring Careers on virtual Reality, I’m trying to figure out what career a should choose, any ideas?
I am a 7th grade Middle school student in Yuma Arizona. I have many suggestions but I don’t know currently which one is the best. Ever since I was in second grade I was interested in science and astronomy and I wanted to be an astronomer, but now I’m getting thinking maybe I should pursue my other interest such as aerospace engineering. I want to build/ develop the spacecrafts sent on missions. I love the idea of both of them. If you have any suggestions please answer my question and state why. Thank you and have a wonderful day!

I would check if your school has an engineering and or math club. There you can learn about different careers in engineering and explore what excites you.

Here's some advice for you: follow what you love. A career that matches your interests is often more enjoyable. You're fortunate to be interested in aerospace engineering and astronomy, as they are excellent fields with good pay and strong future prospects.
In middle and high school, focus on math and science, but also pay attention to English and writing. By ninth or tenth grade, you should be able to start taking courses at a community college or even a university. These courses can help you prepare for college and should count for both high school and college credit. Talk to a college academic advisor, especially one in engineering, about taking an "Introduction to Engineering" class. This class gives you a broad view of engineering and lets you meet instructors who can guide you.
Good luck!

I was going to be an astronomer too, until relatives started dying from high cholesterol. I became a dietitian-nutritionist. I have helped NASA design a 'space bar' to enhance astronaut nutrition on the journey to Mars. You could investigate the possibility of internship work with large corporations like NASA. Talk about your talents and learning about Virtual Reality. Also mention the aerospace engineering interest you have.
Investigate the availability of any work at all with the large corporations that serve NASA. Here are some large corporations that serve NASA:
SpaceX: Collaborating on the Artemis program and other space exploration
initiatives.
Boeing: Partnering with NASA for various space-related projects.

Northrop Grumman: Engaging in multiple collaborations with NASA, including the Artemis program.

NASA's Top 100 Contractors: Includes companies like the California Institute of Technology, Lockheed Martin, and others.
