Hello Elise,
Pursing a career as a Physician Assistant is an admirable endeavor. Although I have a master's in physical therapy, I have had the opportunity to recruit, hire and work with hundred's of PA's throughout my career from new grads to seasoned professionals. Programs are challenging and require planning and discipline. Fortunately, you are in control of the time and dedication you are willing and able to give. It is definitely doable and don't be afraid to pursue your goals and dreams. I was an average to barely above average high school student, however, once I decided what I wanted to do, I really excelled. Once you are in a program, my understanding is they often have great support from your peers and from the program itself. If you want it bad enough, I am certain you will make it happen.
