What is the best strategy for finding and applying to as many scholarships as possible while still giving myself enough time to make a valid application for them?

I am a senior in high school. I am suffering from my choice to put off applying for scholarships and am now trying to apply to as many as possible.

Hello Carter,

This could be a great opportunity to use AI effectively. Be sure to use it responsibly—primarily to review your writing or validate your own research. Think of it as a tool to help you achieve the results you're aiming for.

My advice is to start by creating a clear description of your situation. For example, your AI input could include:
-High school senior in Arizona
-Interested in studying mechanical engineering
-Colleges you’re considering
-A summary of your grades
-Any relevant demographics
-At least two additional details that help describe you
Once you have this list, provide it to an AI tool and ask it to identify scholarships that best match your profile. This approach can improve your chances of finding opportunities that are a strong fit.

Hope this helps,
Joseph

Create a handy master package with a basic essay, resume, and important details to help you apply quickly without starting from scratch each time. Start with scholarships that match your skills and have less competition. Use websites like Fastweb, Scholarships.com, College Board BigFuture, Bold.org, CareerOneStop, and Scholars4Dev. Search with specific keywords and apply quickly to gain momentum. Develop a personal theme for your applications, reuse answers for common questions, and only tweak key parts like the beginning and end.

Stick to a regular weekly schedule, apply early, track deadlines, and check eligibility closely. Focus on scholarships that are a good fit to avoid burnout and look for ones you can renew or apply for again. Ask teachers or mentors for feedback and accept and learn from rejection to improve future applications. Remember, submitting many strong applications is better than trying to make each one perfect. Celebrate small wins to keep your spirits up and keep improving your strategy based on what works.
