I see that you are from New York, so I don't think that the curriculum's quality or education quality is an issue for you, since it can be in other countries.
Studying abroad might give you a lot of advantages when you will apply for jobs later. Specially if you acquire the language of the country your study in.
But more importantly, it's the culture. When you are swept by the local culture of the country you study in, use their slang, eat their food, it is a peek into their thoughts you get.
In business it is very important, it means you can adapt (I don't mention the fact that your future employer might want to do business in that country and you will be just the guy).
As a person, it is an eye opening experience, that will help mature you. You can then outpass the limiting believes that might exist in your country/town/community and you will start to have your own judgment on the matter of life.

Best of luck

I have studied myself abroad in 3 different countries, still have friends from that period and it was an amazing experience I did learn so much ! Going abroad brought me new skills, diversity and helped me understand what I really wanted to do in my life :-)

Hello, I studied abroad myself and really had a fantastic time. The experience you will gain is invaluable in my opinion - you'll meet people from different cultural background, possibly a different language - it will make you richer and enable you to see things from a different point of view. You will gain in adaptability and versatility as well as agility. It also shows that you are curious and willing to try new things - which is a quality that employers look for. Of course, this may give you a "double diploma" which means you will be able to seek employment both in your home country and in the country you studied in, possibly in the neighboring countries too!!! so your opportunities will be increased. Other than the hard benefits for future employment, it is a real fun experience, truly rewarding and helping you grow. Hope you get to do it.

Vernon’s Answer

The best part of studying abroad these days is that you'll make connections to work and live there permanently. I recommend you do whatever it takes to pursue that goal. Learn a foreign language while you're at it.
