How do I research/interview a career?

I'm a high school sophomore IT student, and I was assigned to research in-depth and (hopefully) conduct an interview (via email, over Google Meet, or on the phone) with someone in that specific position. The position im working on is IT Technical writing. Any recommendations on where to get started? Where/How do I conduct an interview (preferably not in person)? And what are the key components I need to research for this position? Thanks!
