What is the most useful piece of career advice you got as a student, and who gave it to you?

be truthful, honest and respectful - and then you can hold your head up.

When you were a student, did you do anything outside of school to build skills or get knowledge that has helped your career?

Volunteer work- when you give of yourself then it unleashes your mind and you are more true to who you are. I tutored students-helped develop listening skills and to be patient and respectful to others.

How did you pick your career? Did you know all along?

I was one of two editors for my high school yearbook- that opened my eyes to the skills it takes to develop a printed document. I sold ad space, designed pages, develop copy, proof read content, developed spreadsheets of milestone dates, etc. After than experience I was hooked.

What is the one piece of career advice you wish someone gave you when you were younger?

Saying nothing is ok, especially when it is gossip.
