Public health and healthcare are vast fields with many opportunities; you can absolutely pursue an internship.
What can you do right now?
You can look at the College career page
Volunteer at a local hospital or clinic for the front desk, patient transport
Enrolling in the LinkedIn platform for a healthcare internship
You can also try these programs that accept high school students/ incoming college freshmen:
CDC pathways internship program, Ladder internship program, Lumiere list, which is a
healthcare internship for high school students, attending Community health events, and also nonprofits
Maximize your chances by learning soft skills that will be helpful.
