How can I develop my knowledge of information technology with a concentration in software development and analysis?

I'm willing to learn with great listening skills and Adept learning skills.

There are some great answers already here, I'll just add a couple extra comments.

1. Continuous Education: Your bachelors degree is great, but try to follow this up with additional self-studying on platforms like Cousera, Udacity, and Khan Academy. Never stop learning :)
2. Hands-On Experience: Also get hands-on experience, this doesn't need to be real world it could be building a home lab or using cloud capabilities through AWS or even free hands-on-labs like those provided by VMware.
3. Certification: Look into relevant certifications in the areas that interest you. CompTIA, AWS, Google, Microsoft, are all widely recognized.

You may want to try a non-paid internship at a local organization that has an IT department. You can shadow IT workers, starting with learning the basics of their job and learn in real-time. The downside is no pay, but the upside is tremendous. You may pick things up quick enough that some of the mundane tasks IT doesn’t like doing can be handed off to you. But that way you can build a foundation to climb into more tasks and build trust with the team.
