How should I balance my schedule for my first year of high school?

I’m going into my freshman year of highschool and am playing football while taking all honors classes. Any tips on how to not fall apart mid semester?

Thank you for your question. This is a good question on time management. Firstly, you better identify a time management too that suits you, eg your phone calendar, ms outlook, etc
Below are my suggestions:
1. Put in the time you need to attend classes
2. Assign some time everyday for your assignment, projects, and revisions, etc
3. You can see what time is available for your football
4. Make sure you have enough time for rest
5. Also, have some time for family and friends gathering

The schedule will do a lot of balancing by itself at your age. You have to rely on your intuition to know to follow through. There is not much else than the bell ringing in school, but if you think outside the box, then rely on your parents, cousins, and siblings. Get reminders and don't forget to pace yourself. With scheduling must come a pace in which you are comfortable, and rely upon your natural sleeping cycles to get good rest. Don't sleep too much, and set an hour aside each morning and night to calm down before and after. You should be good to go.

Balance is key - using a digital calendar is very helpful because you will have it with you everywhere you go (ex: Google Calendar). You can use this to schedule blocks of time for your activities/appointments/etc, but also you can add reminders or tasks to keep you organized. When creating tasks or to-do lists, remember to prioritize. Chances are you may not get to complete every single item on your daily to-do lists; putting them in order of importance will help to make sure you get the right things accomplished first. Lastly, have grace with yourself - always do your best and give it your all but don't expect perfection.

Take a calendar and work backwards. Take large projects and break them into small pieces. If you come up with a list of things that can be done weekly, you can give yourself a manageable workload.

If you can prevent having to cram at the end, you can set yourself up for success.
