Is the ACE Mentorship Program good for Architecture? Are there any programs similar in Florida that are less of a time commitment?
Hello! My name is Sanvhi and I am a rising junior in high school the is interested in pursuing architecture in college. I have done online courses on platforms such as edX, but was hoping to have more real-life practice and experience in making plans, constructing models, etc. My only issue in participating in the ACE program in Central Florida is the time commitment, as I have practice afterschool most days. Has any student or mentor know what the schedule normally looks like, and if it possible to hold meetings on weekends? Also how good it is for architecture? Thank you!
Which one should I study, or is it better to start with kinesiology and then specialize in sports medicine?
I want to study sports medicine (physical theraphy), but I've been told it takes several years to specialize in this field, and at the same time, I don't think I have the financial resources to do it. Kinesiology, on the other hand, is shorter and I can study it at a community college that my parents could help me pay for.
How does one balance athlete and student life in college without falling behind in either of them?
I am a first year at UTEP, and I'm starting cross-country in the fall, however; I've joined a lot of organizations, and I wouldn't want to drop them when I start competing. My organizations include: Student Association of Social Work as historian, MGI Gardening as a crew member, Peer Leader as a work-study job, and National Society of Leadership and Success.
Is there a benefit to doing the honors program at your college if you are a nursing student as well as a student athlete?
I am currently a 18 year old high school senior graduating next month. I have been accepted into majority nursing programs I applied to. I have decided to go to Providence College and I have been accepted into the nursing school as well as the D1 cheer team. I also got an invite for the honors college but I am deciding if the course-load of the nursing program on its own will be too much along with the extra work from the honors program. #Spring25
