About

After making the cross-country trek from Florida to Oregon, I enthusiastically accepted a position at Xenium HR as an HR Business Partner. In this role, I like to think of myself as a client “HERO” – acting as the first point of contact for many complicated HR issue or assisting those who need guidance on how to implement a new HR program or practice.

Psychology was my major when I entered college, but at the recommendation of my guidance counselor I took a test to help determine some career paths that were a good fit for my skills and interests. The test results revealed HR Manager as one of the top recommendations, so I decided to learn more about HR. An “Intro to Business” class that focused on many areas of business, including HR, piqued my interest and I never looked back! I earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in HR Management, followed by her SHRM certification, and topped it off with a Masters in HR.
I began putting my new found HR knowledge into practice as an intern for a law firm in Orlando, FL while still in school. Throughout my HR career, I have been able to try out a variety of roles and industries, including local government, non-profit, telecommunications and healthcare. This gave me exposure to many areas of HR, including training & development, workers’ compensation, benefits, employee & labor relations, to mention a few.

Although I was born and raised in upstate Monroe, NY, I've lived in Florida since the age of 13. I craved the cooler weather and beautiful seasons I experienced while growing up in NY and decided to move to the Pacific NW! In my spare time, I like reading a good book, writing articles and short stories, or watching a good movie. I also enjoy volunteering at local animal shelters, trying out Mexican restaurants, and am a self-proclaimed Harry Potter nerd!
