Best Online Community Colleges for Reduced Cost and Affordability?

Hi everyone, I’ve been searching online for community colleges that offer affordable online courses, but I’ve run into a lot of sketchy websites and ads. I’m looking for legitimate options that can help reduce the overall cost of my education without sacrificing quality. Does anyone have any recommendations for reputable online community colleges that offer reduced tuition rates or financial assistance? Any tips on how to find the best deals would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I suggest you not make cost the only issue, as you may find financial aid packages that fill that gap for you. Online community colleges are scarce, as most of them have campuses and offer some courses online, but not all. I did notice there is one in Dallas at
https://www.dallascollege.edu/about/pages/dcccd-dallas-college.aspx Many online schools offer accreditation that sounds good, but are useless. Your best price will be at a state college where Texas residency reduces cost. That may require some on campus classes. For a full degree online, you need to look at universities, such as Phoenix University and others. The cheapest I am aware of is Southern New Hampshire at https://www.snhu.edu/ That's $330 per credit. For comparison, the Dallas Community college mentioned above is only $99, but that's on campus. I'm sure you will be successful and I hope this information is helpful. All the best to you,

Hi Angel,

You raise a good question about online community college programs. I suggest contacting your local community colleges and asking about online courses/options. Many community colleges offer online programs and the staff there should lead you to the best campuses and programs.

Sometimes, fully online schools are private, proprietary schools. If you are looking for low prices, start with your local community college admission staff. Beware of flashy programs with enticing promises.

Best wishes in finding your online program.
