What steps did you take to get into museum curation?
Hi, I'm fresh out of high school, and I love all kinds of art, art history, cultural and ethnic studies, and history. I love making art myself, as well, and learning about other groups of people. I am thinking I want to go into Museum Curation. Wondering what steps you took to get into this field, does it bring you joy, and what does a day in the life look like? Is it rewarding? Museum Curator- How to get experience?
What is the best way to get experience in a museum if I want to be a curator? I am going to start my Master's program in the fall, but I feel like I am behind on field experience. I have applied for internships, but I am never qualified enough to get any. Should I start by volunteering or networking? #Spring26

What majors and minors in college will help me? What kind of internships should I be looking for and how can I find them? I'm currently working to get a degree in art history and minor in painting or museum studies. I'm currently involved in various art-related activities as a senior in highschool.
