Lisa Darling

I have been working in healthcare since I was about 14 years old. I started out at the nursing home my grandmother was the head cook for pushing old folks in their wheelchairs to the dining room and helping with exercises. My dad was on a peritoneal dialysis for a chronic kidney disease so he needed a transplant, he did everything from home and I helped. I always wanted to be a nurse, but my dad passed away at age 39 and I was just 16 years old. I became a mother soon after and started a family, in that time frame I worked on becoming an EMT then an instructor and then a Paramedic a few years later. I worked for three different Advanced Life Support Agencies during my career. I volunteer for one fire department, I have worked at two different hospitals near home. I have over 30 years experience in both Emergency Medical Services and Teaching EMS courses as well, CPR, First Aid, Health & Safety courses, EMS continuing education. I enjoy teaching the most out of all my jobs!
