About
Agriculture & Equine major at Laramie County Community College, dedicated to my passion for using equine-assisted interventions to enhance clients' mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Horses can teach trust and confidence through hands-on experiences within the field. People with developmental differences can benefit from this, as it can improve social communication skills.
Passionate about the power of equine therapy, believing in the unique ability of horses to facilitate healing and growth. I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based services that empower individuals to overcome challenges and live their best lives. My values include safety, respect, and a commitment to fostering strong human-equine relationships.
Whether volunteering at an equine facility or riding horses, I've learned to positively impact my community by putting service above self. From my experiences within the field, I have gained hands-on training that benefits the community as a stress reliever and creates a special bond between horse and rider. Horses help us regulate our day-to-day emotions, including fear, mindfulness, depression, and more. Growing up with autism has allowed me to experience life differently from others. I sometimes struggle with regulating my emotions, but working with people and horses has taught me how to manage them.
Through my work as the secretary of Rotaract, I create well-written and comprehensive reports, including meeting minutes, so everyone is aware of what we discussed during our meetings. I have had the opportunity to network with various industry professionals through the leadership series.
